My name is Jenni-Raie Merritt, and I enjoy photography. Years ago someone gave me a camera and I soon carried it with me everywhere. Then I found Flickr, through which I learned many things, such as the importance of lighting, composition, and the 365 project which has become my signature art project and main means to developing my photographic approach.
Over the past year, I have expanded my repertoire and am now considering enrollment in a professional photography program. In the meantime, I have received several requests for my photography services, which has prompted the development of Persephone’s Photography - a division of Persephone’s Awakening. My style is flexible, natural, and creative. I like photographs that look high-fashion, but I also enjoy a good jaunt through the forest. I will meet you at your desired location, or scout out sites to meet the look you’re going for. Persephone’s Photography is based out of Chatham, Ontario.
I use a Canon Digital Rebel XT with a Sigma 18 – 125mm zoom lens. Natural light is my lighting source of choice – it creates such a flattering, ethereal look. It’s a good thing.
